November 6 UPDATE #2 - GAME TIME AND FIELD CHANGES THIS SATURDAY AND NEXT.
For November 8, the start time for Bolinas v. Loosely Utd is now 10:30 AM on Troppman, instead of 1 PM. Also, Marin Utd v. Goalfinger has been moved from 3 PM on Troppman to 3 PM on Ghilotti. There is also a confirmed change in the 8 AM Mariners v. Marin Utd match on November 15. That match is now scheduled to start at 1:15 PM match on the Drake HS turf field in San Anselmo.

The November 15 schedule is as follows:

Game times vary from week to week, so please read the schedule carefully. If you think the fields may have been closed due to recent rain, check the field hotline. The number is 415-945-3607.

Attention Interested Women -- Several teams are looking for women players to add to their rosters. If you're a woman with some soccer experience, ("some" defined as anything from playing for the Sweden National Team to simply having seen and enjoyed a few games, leading to an insatiable desire to get out on the field yourself), send an email with a brief description of your background (skill level, preferred positions, etc.) to new_players@marincoedsoccer.net. It will be forwarded to our Player Coordinator, who is tracking specific teams' needs.

General notes:
NO DOGS PLEASE! -- Dogs are not allowed on any of the fields that we use, and put us at risk of losing access to these fields.

For games at Redwood, be sure to check the Community Fields hotline (415-945-3607) Friday evening or Saturday morning if weather looks questionable. Games on the turf field (Troppman) will not be rained out. If the hotline message says "grass fields are closed," this does NOT apply to Troppman. If the Community Fields hotline does not have a current update, check our league's hotline (415-258-4891).

The Marin Coed Soccer League was established in Spring 1986 to provide a fun and safe opportunity for recreational adult soccer in Marin. Participation is open to women of high school age (or over) and to men at least 30 years old. The MCSL plays on Saturdays with Spring and Fall season "round-robin" schedules with an end-of-season tournament (and BBQ in the Spring). Most games are played at the Community Fields at Redwood High School in Larkspur. There are currently eleven teams in the League.

The MCSL encourages friendly competition. No standings are kept, and there are no trophies for winning. Good Sportsmanship Awards are given to three teams each season based on voting by other teams and the number of yellow and red cards received. The primary motivation for our players is the camaraderie of the beautiful game played with a view of Mt. Tam. We play using the FIFA Laws of the Game with modifications related to substitutions, number of women players, safety (no slide tackles), and maintaining good relations (no dogs at the fields).
